Frank Vatrano Nets Two Goals In 18 Seconds
3 years agoNew York Rangers winger Frank Vatrano needed just 18 seconds to score twice in the opening period in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win against Buffalo. He opened the scoring 3:59 into the period and managed to get the two fastest goals by a Rangers player since Jaromir Jagr netted twice inside 15 seconds on Nov. 12, 2005. The 28-year-old sniper has now scored in back-to-back games, making it four goals in six games overall for the team. He's moved up to the top line and it's given his fantasy stock a big boost. Fantasy managers should check if Vatrano is available as the Rangers start a nice four-game week on Tuesday.

Frank Vatrano Signs Three-Year Extension With Ducks
3 months agoAnaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano has inked a three-year, $18 million extension. Vatrano, who will turn 31 in March, is coming off a three-year, $10.95 million deal. The new contract will lock him up through the 2027-28 campaign. The American forward has been a late bloomer, posting his career-best year in 2023-24 with 60 points (37 goals, 23 assists) in 82 games. He has tallied 68 goals and 121 points in total with the Ducks across 200 games, with 341 hits. 20 of the points have come this campaign, with Vatrano registering nine goals and 11 assists in 37 appearances. Vatrano isn't a must-have player in fantasy hockey, but he offers plenty of value, combining his offensive ability with physicality.

Frank Vatrano Ready To Rejoin Ducks Lineup On Sunday
5 months agoAnaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano (personal) will be back in the lineup on Sunday versus Los Angeles. He missed Friday's matchup against Colorado due to the birth of his child. Vatrano was activated from the non-roster list on Saturday and will likely be reunited with Ryan Strome and Troy Terry on the third line. The trio has a lot of offensive upside, but they haven't quite clicked yet. Vatrano has recorded only one point in three games this season and hasn't found the back of the net, despite lighting the lamp 37 times last term.

Frank Vatrano Sits Out Friday's Game
5 months agoAnaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano (personal) will not play against Colorado on Friday after he was added to the non-roster list. He will miss the contest to attend the birth of his third child. Vatrano was Anaheim's top scorer last season with 60 points (37 goals, 23 assists) in 82 games but is off to a quiet start in 2024-25. Through three games, Vatrano sits on zero goals and one assist. The team has recalled Jansen Harkins from the minors, and he could make his season debut in Friday's contest. Harkins has never been productive offensively at this level and should be ignored by fantasy managers.
