Tyrese Maxey Drops Team-High 28 Points In Victory
3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey was integral to his team's win over Miami on Monday, as he collected a team-best 28 points in just 28 minutes of action. Without Joel Embiid (back) and James Harden (rest), Maxey took No. 1 offensive option duties and thrived. The 21-year-old shot 9-for-15 from the floor overall, including going 3-for-7 from behind the arc. He tossed in five rebounds and four assists, adding another strong performance to his breakout campaign. Maxey remains the third scoring option, at best, when Embiid and Harden are available, but he is undoubtedly still worthy of being rostered in the vast majority of season-long formats during the playoffs. He next faces the Lakers on Wednesday, whom he collected a double-double against back on Jan. 27.
