Fletcher Cox Released By The Eagles
3 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles have released veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox. The move was made with a post-June 1 designation. The 31-year-old was a first round pick of the Eagles back in 2012 and he has been a cornerstone of the team's defense ever since. Over 156 career games, he's compiled 443 tackles and 58 sacks while forcing 14 fumbles. There has been some speculation that Cox may return to the Eagles on a restructured deal. Cox had been the source of trade rumors prior to his release, so the Eagles' move to release him is a bit of a head scratcher unless the franchise is planning something else.
