Rockies Agree With Chad Kuhl
Chad Kuhl on an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. Kuhl went from the starting rotation to the bullpen last year after a bout with COVID-19. In total, he went 5-7 with a 4.82 ERA and 1.43 WHIP while striking out 75 and walking 42 in 80 1/3 innings over 28 appearances (14 starts) for the Bucs. It's unknown if the Rockies view him as a starter or reliever, but he'll at least give them some options for the 2022 season. The 29-year-old shouldn't be an attractive fantasy option with his move to hitter-friendly Coors Field.

White Sox Sign Chad Kuhl To Minors Deal
Chad Kuhl to a minor-league deal. The rebuilding White Sox are looking for as much pitching depth as they can get. Kuhl will hope to be better in 2024 after posting an 8.45 ERA (6.78 FIP) and 1.96 WHIP with a save, 28 walks and 31 strikeouts in 16 appearances (five starts) covering 38 1/3 innings at the major-league level for the Washington Nationals last season. The 31-year-old will most likely begin the year pitching for Triple-A Charlotte. Kuhl will not be anywhere near the fantasy radar. In his seven major-league seasons with the Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies, he has a 4.98 ERA (4.89 FIP) and 1.48 WHIP with 536 K's and 281 walks in 615 innings over 143 outings (116 starts).

Nationals Release Chad Kuhl
Chad Kuhl on Monday. The team also recalled relief pitcher Amos Willingham from the minors ahead of the series opener against the Seattle Mariners. Kuhl was designated for assignment on Saturday and wasn't claimed on waivers. He'll head back to the free-agent market after inking a minor-league deal with the Nats in February. The 30-year-old veteran struggled in 16 appearances (five starts) in the big leagues this year, going 0-4 with an 8.45 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 31 K's in 38 1/3 frames. Willingham, 24, gets his first big-league call-up after sporting an impressive 1.90 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, five saves and 25 strikeouts in 23 2/3 relief innings at Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester.

Chad Kuhl Picks Up His First Career Save Friday
Chad Kuhl, who recently moved to the bullpen, earned his first career save on Friday when his team beat the Kansas City Royals 12-10. He recorded the final five outs of the game, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out two. Over seven appearances and five starts, Kuhl owns an 8.06 ERA, 1.79 WHIP, and 18.3% strikeout rate over 25.2 innings. Both Kyle Finnegan and Hunter Harvey pitched in back-to-back contests before Friday, so it wasn't surprising that they got the day off. Kuhl remains irrelevant in fantasy baseball and likely won't factor into many save situations going forward.

Chad Kuhl Reinstated From IL
Chad Kuhl (foot) was activated from the 15-day injured list. Kuhl has been out of commission since the end of April because of a right foot injury. The 30-year-old has appeared in five games this season, starting all of them and amassing an 0-2 record with a hideous 9.41 ERA. As a result, it's unlikely Kohl's status will impact many fantasy managers. That won't change unless he begins to play better. In a corresponding move, the team optioned pitcher Hobie Harris to Triple-A Rochester.
