Jaguars Release Carlos Hyde
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars released running back Carlos Hyde on Friday, according to a source. Hyde played in only 12 games for the Jaguars in his first year with the team and finished the season on Injured Reserve with a concussion. The 31-year-old veteran finished with 253 rushing yards and a touchdown on carries, and he added 12 receptions on 21 targets for 65 additional yards. Even though Hyde played in only 12 games, he saw a questionable amount of playing time over James Robinson before head coach Urban Meyer was fired midseason. At this point in his career, Hyde doesn't have a whole lot left, and if he signs with another team, he'll serve as veteran RB depth. Hyde will be well off the fantasy radar in 2022.
