Quarterback play was once again all over the board in Week 2. To see how we ranked all 32 NFL quarterbacks after Week 1, look here. It is safe to say that with all of the quarterback talent in the upcoming draft class, plenty of teams will be looking to move on from their current signal callers.
The stars struggled again in Week 2. Patrick Mahomes and Trevor Lawrence both struggled to get their respective offenses going against each other, Joe Burrow looked cold again, and Tua Tagovailoa came down to Earth.
How do we rank all 32 NFL quarterbacks going into Week 3? Let’s dive in.

1. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Jalen Hurts climbs to the top of the totem poll following his electric Thursday Night Football performance. He was back doing what he does best, making a few big throws and efficiently using his legs when needed to turn in a great performance for both the Eagles and for fantasy football purposes.
“Winning is the only thing that truly matters. You have priorities. You have 1A and 1B. 1A is winning. 1B is playing to the standard.”

2. Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs
Mahomes has struggled to get going through the first two games, but of course still has made his fair share of Mahomes-esque plays. Once Travis Kelce gets back to full health, expect Mahomes and the Chiefs to start putting up crazy numbers again. They play against a weak Chicago defense this week, offering a good opportunity to work out some kinks on offense.
3. Tua Tagovailoa - Miami Dolphins
Tua Tagovailoa has the Dolphins sitting at 2-0 after coming away from New England with a win. While he didn’t have as electric of a performance as he did in Week 1, Tua still did what he needed to do to come out on top on Sunday night. Miami is a real threat with a healthy Tagovailoa.
4. Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams
One of the biggest climbers in this week’s rankings is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. After winning the Super Bowl just two seasons ago, Stafford battled injuries last season and was written off. He just threw for 307 yards against arguably the best defense in the league without top receiver Cooper Kupp, keeping the game close. Don’t sleep on a resurgent Rams team led by the 35-year-old Super Bowl champ.
COMEBACK: The #Rams appear to be BACK after a down year after two games vs. very good defenses, the Seahawks & #49ers👀
Puka Nacua is on pace for 2,261 yards.
Tutu Atwell is on pace for 1,666 yards.
Kyren Williams is on pace for 34 TDs.

5. Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen bounced back in Week 2 after a horrible Week 1 game against the Jets. He threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 38-10 blowout win over the Raiders, climbing the power rankings after looking more like himself.
6. Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson used both his legs and arm in Sunday’s dominant win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns, adding 54 rushing yards in the divisional victory. Having a healthy Jackson is huge for Baltimore as they get out to a 2-0 start this season.
7. Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence struggled in Jacksonville’s first loss of the season, completing just 53% of his passes and failing to score a touchdown. Lawrence will hope to get back on track next week against divisional rival Houston, which is surrendering 28 points per game so far this season.
8. Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers
Justin Herbert lost another nail-biter on Sunday, falling to the Tennessee Titans in overtime after having control of the game early. Same story, different week for the Chargers. Herbert looked sharp in the game, throwing for 305 yards and two touchdowns on a 65.9% completion rate, but fell to 0-2 on the season in another close loss. Losing close games has been a common theme early in Herbert’s career.
9. Kirk Cousins - Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins held strong in Week 2 despite trailing for the entire game, throwing for an impressive 364 yards and four touchdowns. The Vikings have fallen to 0-2 after some tough losses to Tampa and Philadelphia, and they face another surprise 0-2 team in the Chargers this week. Cousins is second in the league in passing yards behind only Tua Tagovailoa and should continue his hot streak this week against a Chargers secondary that is on the softer side.
10) Brock Purdy - San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy may have missed a few throws on Sunday but still managed to lead his team to a comfortable win. He was an efficient 17-for-25 for 206 yards and also ran for a touchdown. With how loaded San Francisco is on both sides of the ball, much like Dallas, Purdy just has to play safe football to keep the 49ers winning. He has been crushing it at that assignment early in his career and is showing no signs of slowing down.
11. Joe Burrow - Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow had another rough outing in Week 2, completing 65.9% of his passes while falling to 0-2. Burrow reportedly tweaked his calf injury in the game, putting his Week 3 status in doubt. With how he has been looking, a fresh reset may be the best thing for him.

12. Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks
Geno was back in business on Sunday, completing 32-of-41 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns in a thrilling overtime win over Detroit. After a rough Week 1 outing, Geno silenced the doubters by bringing back a touch of his magic from last season. Smith passed for the third-most yards in Week 2 and will look to continue his efforts against the Carolina Panthers this week.
13. Jared Goff - Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff had a strong showing on Sunday aside from an ugly pick-six that ended up giving Seattle a 31-21 lead. Goff threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns with his lone turnover being that interception for six. While the Lions did fall to 1-1, there is plenty of promise in Detroit this season and the former number one overall pick is a big reason why.
14. Mac Jones - New England Patriots
Mac Jones turned out another impressive performance in Week 2. Despite New England’s 0-2 record, the Patriots have played two Super Bowl-contending teams down to the wire and Jones has been dealing. He went 31-for-42 through the air for 231 yards, a touchdown, and an interception while adding 25 rushing yards. Jones faces yet another tough defense in Week 3 as the Patriots go head-to-head with the New York Jets.
15. Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott does not have to be a superstar this season. This is a loaded Dallas Cowboys team and Dak just has to limit mistakes to keep Dallas winning games. Prescott looked great against a New York defense that made Josh Allen look horrible in Week 1. He went 31-for-38 for 255 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas is averaging 35 points per game through the first two.
16. Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has looked really, really good through his first two starts as the franchise quarterback. Love went 14-for-25 for 151 yards and three touchdowns in the last-second loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Matt LaFleur’s system is tailored towards fewer passing attempts, giving Love the ability to slow the game down and ease into the NFL level. He could be climbing this list as the season goes on.
17. Russell Wilson - Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has shown some signs of Seattle Russell Wilson this season despite starting off 0-2 with losses to the Raiders and Commanders. He threw some beautiful deep balls this week, particularly two to rookie receiver Marvin Mims and an insane Hail Mary that was caught for a touchdown by Brandon Johnson. Despite solid quarterback play, the Broncos have stumbled in two close but bad losses. Wilson will need to do a little more to turn this team around.
18. Deshaun Watson - Cleveland Browns
Deshaun Watson struggled again on Monday night in the loss to the Steelers, throwing a pick-six on the first play of the game and finishing the night going 22-for-40 for 235 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Watson has continued to look like a shell of his former self, and it remains to be seen if he can get his play back to what it once was back in Houston.

19. Daniel Jones - New York Giants
Daniel Jones has been a rollercoaster through the first two weeks. He looked like the worst quarterback in the NFL in Week 1, continued to look like the worst quarterback in the NFL in the first half against Arizona, and then led his team to a comeback from a 28-7 deficit in the third quarter. Jones went 26-for-37 for 321 yards and two touchdowns with a pick. Next up is another tough test with the San Francisco 49ers on a short week.
20. Sam Howell - Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell quietly has the team at 2-0. He looked better in Week 2 than he did in Week 1, going 27-for-39 for 299 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Denver. Howell takes on the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 – a good game here would officially put him on the map.
21. Derek Carr - New Orleans Saints
Derek Carr did not pop off the stat sheet again in Week 2, but did enough to bring New Orleans to 2-0. Carr put up pedestrian numbers, throwing 21-for-36 for 228 yards and an interception in Monday night’s win. He has looked solid as a game manager and has a dangerous trio of receivers at his disposal. The Saints play Green Bay this week for a shot at 3-0.
22. Baker Mayfield - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield, of all quarterbacks, is 2-0. He has done so in vintage Baker Mayfield fashion, with a bit of trash talk and a whole lot of inconsistency. Baker played well against Chicago in Week 2’s win, going 26-for-34 through the air for 317 yards and a touchdown. This week, he gets a tough Eagles defense in prime time on Monday Night Football. Buckle up.
23. Gardner Minshew II - Indianapolis Colts
Anthony Richardson (concussion) is likely out in Week 3, leaving the Colts for some Minshew Mania. Gardner Minshew came in relief of Richardson in Week 2 and looked sharp, going 19-for-23 for 171 yards and a score. His familiarity with Shane Steichen’s offense gives him an edge and if he’s out there in Week 3 he will be fun to watch against Baltimore.
#Colts QB Anthony Richardson was ruled out with a concussion in the 1st quarter today.
If concussed, avg is just over 1 week missed, ~60% chance of missing week 3 returning week 4.#NFLNews #FantasyFootball #coltsnation pic.twitter.com/mxbGxM7Snn

24. C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans
Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud is fourth in the league in passing yards through the first two weeks with a total of 626 yards and two touchdowns. The rookie has been making some impressive throws and while his line has struggled to block for him, he has remained unrattled and could be a great quarterback in this league. Next up is a ferocious Jacksonville defense that just gave Patrick Mahomes a tough time.
25. Justin Fields - Chicago Bears
Justin Fields has struggled through the first two weeks of the NFL season, throwing three interceptions and losing a fumble. He also has not gotten it done with his legs to the extent that he did last season, scrambling for 62 yards and a touchdown through the first two games. Fields will look to get on track this week against a Kansas City defense that has been tough for opposing quarterbacks the first two weeks.
26. Jimmy Garoppolo - Las Vegas Raiders
Jimmy Garoppolo has been thrust into his typical game manager role in Las Vegas, with the Raiders currently sitting at 1-1 after a win over Denver and a blowout loss to Buffalo. Garoppolo has only attempted 50 passes, good for 29th in the league. He takes on the Steelers on Sunday night this week in an attempt to get to 2-1.
27. Ryan Tannehill - Tennessee Titans
Ryan Tannehill followed up an ugly Week 1 showing with a much better showing in the Week 2 overtime win. He went 20-for-24 for 246 yards and a score, adding a 12-yard rushing touchdown. Tennessee mainly stuck to the ground game but Tannehill was efficient when called upon. He takes on a tough Cleveland Browns defense in Week 3.

28. Bryce Young - Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young looked more poised in Week 2, going 22-for-33 for 153 yards and a touchdown while scrambling for 34 yards on the ground. While Young did not get the win, he appeared to form a connection with veteran receiver Adam Thielen. Having a playmaker emerge for him is big-time for his development. Young will be up against a Seattle secondary that has struggled through the first two weeks in Week 3.
29. Joshua Dobbs - Arizona Cardinals
While he may be a bridge quarterback, Joshua Dobbs put together an impressive performance on Sunday. He got his team out to a 28-7 lead early before losing down the stretch, going 21-for-31 for 228 yards and a score through the air while also scrambling for 41 yards and a touchdown. Dobbs looked a lot better in Week 2 than he did in Week 1 but faces a tough test in Week 3 against Dallas.
30. Kenny Pickett - Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh fans hoped that Kenny Pickett would take a big step forward in his second year, but so far that has not been the case for the 25-year-old. Pickett pulled out the win behind the Pittsburgh defense on Monday night, completing just 50% of his passes for 222 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He should be able to take a step forward this week as he faces a soft Las Vegas Raiders defense.
31. Desmond Ridder - Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons are 2-0 and Desmond Ridder passed more than 18 times this week but did not look too efficient throwing the ball. He went 19-for-32 for 237 yards with a touchdown and an interception but also added an element to the offense with his legs. He ran for 39 yards and a score in the comeback win over Green Bay. While Ridder is 2-0, he just has not looked like a franchise quarterback throughout the first two weeks.
32. Zach Wilson - New York Jets
Zach Wilson flat-out struggled on Sunday in the blowout loss to Dallas, completing 12-of-27 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions. While the Dallas defense may be the best in the league, Wilson let the pressure get to him in Week 2. The tests don’t get much easier with a hungry New England defense up next for Wilson and the Jets. He may remain at the bottom of this list for as long as he is starting in New York.
