Analysis: Miller was one of the biggest wildcards in the NFL Draft. Some people projected that he would be selected in the first round, but that never seemed to be a realistic option. Most people expected him to be selected in the second round, but that also did not happen. The Texans took the risk on Miller late in the third round.

This was a less than ideal situation for Miller to be placed in, as he is not going to have an easy road to starting like their other rookie wide receiver, Will Fuller. Miller is a raw receiver, as he only played the position at Ohio State for one season. He is an athletic freak, though, and he will likely have his on specialized plays for the Texans this season. He likely won’t see many snaps this year, and he is far from a great option in re-draft leagues.

Miller has decent dynasty appeal because of his pure athleticism and his skills with the ball in his hands. He is not going to have an easy time getting on the field, though, as DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, and Jaelen Strong are all young receivers ahead of him on the depth chart. If Miller is able to learn the receiver position quickly, he could make an impact in a couple of years. Still, the Texans offense is going to be based around Hopkins, which will limit Miller’s opportunities, especially early in his career.
