BALLER MOVE: Target ~320
CURRENT ADP: 340
ANALYSIS: Tanner Roark spent most of 2015 in the Nationals' bullpen, and didn't even have much success there (4.38 ERA, 1.306 WHIP), but he should really be in the starting rotation. In 31 starts in 2014, Roark finished with a 2.85 ERA, a 1.092 WHIP and a 138/39 K/BB ratio, giving him 5.1 wins above replacement-- sixth in the National League. Somehow, his success was overlooked, despite the fact that he was much more consistent than teammates Stephen Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez. It's extremely unlikely that Roark will find the same success as his 2014 campaign, but, with Jordan Zimmermann and Doug Fister no longer in town, he will return to the starting rotation.
In most draft formats, Roark may not be chosen at all. If he's still lurking near the final rounds of your draft, he can be an incredibly valuable pickup as his consistency is almost a guarantee and his upside is sky-high.
