BALLER MOVE: Target ~130
CURRENT ADP: 145
ANALYSIS: The hard throwing Raisel Iglesias came onto the scene in Cincinnati last season and turned a lot of heads, and he has quickly become one of the most popular sleepers in 2016 drafts.
Even though Iglesias went 3-7 in 16 starts last season with a 4.15 ERA, it was his intangibles and potential that have him poised to break out. Still, his stats weren't all bad-- he posted a 9.82 K/9, and had opposing batters swing at pitches outside of the strike zone at a 34% clip. His 3.71 K/BB demonstrated excellent command and control, while his 1.14 WHIP and .225 BAA showed his consistency through each start. His 3.55 FIP could stand to improve, but with more starts under his belt. that number should go down. In his final nine starts -- eight of which went for quality starts -- he compiled 62 K and just 19 ER.
His ADP has reached 145, and he should be ranked even higher by season's end. Iglesias should slide in next to guys like Marcus Stroman, Luis Severino and Joe Ross, all of whom have similar potential. Iglesias has garnered so much attention as a sleeper that owners are likely going to have reach for him, but he is well worth that reach.
