BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 4-6
Current ADP: 66 STD, 44 PPR
ANALYSIS: Rookie Ameer Abdullah's versatility is unparalleled on this Lions team. Theo Riddick, Detroit's pass-catching back in 2014, has failed to lock down the role, and Joique Bell, the number one back on the roster, has been rather ineffective-- just 3.9 YPC last year-- and is currently recovering from an achilles injury.
A healthy Calvin Johnson and an improved offensive line-- mostly due to the acquisition of guard Manny Ramirez-- will open up holes for Abdullah. The Lions targeted running backs 148 times last year, so Abdullah should see his fair share of receptions, even if he splits that role with Riddick.
If Abdullah can take control of the number one back role, he will see the majority of the carries, and can be a great value as a sleeper in fantasy drafts.
