BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds
ANALYSIS: At age 24, Shelby Miller is 26-18 with a 3.33 ERA in his young career. After an outstanding rookie campaign in 2013 in which he went 15-9 with an 3.06 ERA, Miller’s performance declined in 2014. He finished 10-9 with a 3.74 ERA and just 127 strikeouts. Fantasy owners will look down on his 2014 production, so he should be a solid sleeper candidate for 2015.
Turner Field favors pitchers, and he now has Andrelton Simmons behind him. Plus, Miller can take advantage of the Braves' good bullpen. Miller might go a bit unnoticed in fantasy baseball drafts this year, so he should be there late. Braves tend to get the best out of young pitchers, and if he can regain control of his change-up and use his cutter more, Miller can rebound this year.
