BALLER MOVE: Target ~160
ANALYSIS: Neil Walker has been providing enough value to fantasy owners in recent seasons to warrant an ADP higher than 176. Yes, he has missed time due to injuries in the past three years, but he is still second in HR (53) among second baseman during that span. Aside from speed, Walker is going to be a solid 2B contributor for your fantasy team, particularly in OBP leagues.
It’s looking like he will fill the cleanup role for the Pirates, which should result in a ton of run-scoring opportunities as pitchers try to avoid Andrew McCutchen. Walker is currently ranked as the 14th second baseman in fantasy drafts, and he provides excellent value at that rate. Scoop up Walker, and if he gets hurt, grab a stop-gap to replace him.
