10 Worst QB Performances From Week 7, Including Gardner Minshew II and Kirk Cousins

Brock Purdy - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

After a couple of weeks of consistent high-end quarterback play, things stalled to some extent in Week 7. However, the studs continued to be just that and we have some repeat performers on this list this week.

Interceptions were the name of the game in Week 7 as several quarterbacks threw multiple passes to the opposition. As one might expect, those interceptions tended to cost said quarterbacks their respective games.

So enough beating around the bush and teasing poor performances. It is time to dive in and see who performed the worst at the most important position in football in Week 7.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2024:

10. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

Cousins threw two interceptions in the second half against a Seattle Seahawks defense that woke back up in Week 7. His performance led to the Falcons losing by 20 points and it spurred a sighting of rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in garbage time.

Cousins was playing alright through the first half. The wheels fell off for the Falcons' offense and defense in the second half. Cousins' three total turnovers did not help the cause, and instead helped land him on this list in Week 7.

9. Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints

Down his two top weapons in Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, Rattler struggled to get anything going in Week 7 on Thursday night. It is unfortunate given that he showed flashes of solid play in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Rattler completed 25 of 35 passes for 172 yards and no touchdowns in Week 7. The Saints offense was inept with all their injuries and things do not project to get better overnight. Rattler also left the game with a hip injury. Overall it was a forgettable day for the rookie who has had a tough time filling in for an injured Derek Carr.

8. Mason Rudolph, Tennessee Titans

Rudolph played in place of an injured Will Levis in Week 7. While Rudolph ultimately had a better game than most of Levis' this season, it was still not enough to avoid this list.

Rudolph threw for 215 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He only completed 62.5% of his passes. The Bills thumped the Titans 34-10. This team appears to be flailing no matter who the quarterback is.

7. Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts

Richardson had a rough performance in a Week 7 win. Richardson's inefficiencies as a passer continue to be alarming as he only completed 41.6% of his passes en route to 129 passing yards in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins. His QBR of 24.3 is not a recipe for sustained winning.

The Colts were lucky that they were playing a Miami Dolphins team without Tua Tagovailoa. This game would have been a blowout otherwise. Even so, in the NFL a win is a win and hopefully Richardson can continue to learn from his mistakes.

6. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

I am not sure who that was wearing No. 7 for the Houston Texans on Sunday but there is no way that it was C.J. Stroud. Stroud had arguably the worst game of his career in Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers were relentless all afternoon and sacked Stroud four times.

Stroud could not get anything going. he completed 10 of 21 passes for 86 yards. He could not connect with Tank Dell and the Texans' leading receiver was Dalton Shultz who recorded all 28 of his yards on one play. This performance is clearly an outlier but what an outlier it was.

5. Daniel Jones, New York Giants

With his full complement of weapons back in Week 7, Jones struggled against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones only threw for 99 yards and he added 20 yards with his legs. The Giants were ultimately blown out 28-3 in Saquon Barkley's return to the Meadowlands.

Jones has been up and down this season. With the addition of rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, Jones has looked great at times. However, he has now fallen on his face a couple of times this season and was even pulled in the fourth quarter of this game. Time is running out for Jones to prove his worth.

4. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

Purdy had a rough day at the office in Week 7 as he attempted to navigate the stifling defense of the Kansas City Chiefs. Purdy threw for 212 passing yards and three interceptions. He punched in two touchdowns on the ground, but it was not enough to propel the 49ers to victory.

Purdy has now found himself on this list a couple of times this season. He has now thrown seven interceptions on the season, and has not been the efficient quarterback we know him to be. He will need to be better in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys.

3. Andy Dalton, Carolina Panthers

Dalton lands back on this list after another multiple-interception game. Dalton completed 11 of 16 passes for 93 yards and two interceptions as the Panthers were tossed around by the Jayden Daniels-less Commanders in Week 7.

This game was over before it started. Dalton's struggles over the last couple of weeks continue to demonstrate that quarterback was far from the only issue in Carolina. This team is well on it's way to the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. At least it will be there's to keep this year.

2. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Cleveland Browns

The dumpster fire that is the Cleveland Browns suffered a couple of huge blows to their quarterback room on Sunday. Starter Deshaun Watson was actually playing pretty well before injuring his Achilles. Thompson-Robinson came in and threw two interceptions on a 45.8% completion percentage. He also only managed to throw for 82 yards.

Thompson-Robinson would ultimately leave this game with an injury of his own but the damage to the Browns' chances at winning the game had already been done. The Browns seem completely averse to using Jameis Winston. Fans had been calling for Winston to replace Watson for weeks but he was only the emergency third-string quarterback in Week 7.

1. Gardner Minshew II, Las Vegas Raiders

Minshew had a poor performance for the ages when he threw three interceptions in relief of an injured Aidan O'Connell in Week 7. Minshew completed 44% of his passes and his QBR of 12.6 was about as bad as it gets.

With O'Connell nursing a broken thumb, Minshew may find himself in the lineup a lot more in the near-term. That is great for opposing defenses and bad for the Raiders who just cannot get anyone competent at quarterback.
