Yordan Alvarez Hopeful To Play On Thursday
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (finger) is hopeful to get back in the starting lineup for Thursday's game, according to manager Dusty Baker. The 26-year-old missed his second straight game on Wednesday after accidentally slamming his finger in a door. The organization is hopeful that this will only be a day-to-day issue and won't result in a lengthy absence. The expectation is that Yainer Diaz will continue getting more playing time until Alvarez is ready to play.
