X-Rays Negative On Anthony Santander's Ankle
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in the first inning of Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins. He left the game and was replaced by Austin Hays. Santander underwent X-rays after the game and they came back negative. He does however have an ankle sprain and he is set to undergo an MRI on Wednesday. There's a good chance he's headed for a stint on the injured list, but we should know more soon. Through 16 games this year, Santander is slashing .196/.230/.321 with two home runs and eight RBI. Hays and Ryan Mountcastle could both see an increase in playing time if Santander is forced to miss time.
