Wendell Carter Jr. Keeps Producing
6 years agoChicago Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. produced his third straight double-double Wednesday night against the Pelicans. The rookie shot the ball decent on the night, ending with 17 points. He also grabbed 11 rebounds, blocked three, and stole one. Carter Jr. is now averaging 15.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. He joins elite company and becomes the first teenager since Karl Anthony Towns to do so, and before KAT it was Anthony Davis hitting that mark. Carer Jr. is often overlooked given the tough matchups he drew to start the year, but now his talent is starting to show. He’ll draw a favorable matchup against a Cavaliers team only averaging 42.3 rebounds per game.
