Teddy Bridgewater Receives "Strong" Offer From Detroit
2 years agoAccording to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Lions have made a "strong contract offer" to free-agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The veteran signal-caller has drawn interest from several clubs this offseason. However, his relationship with head coach Dan Campbell from their time in New Orleans may be enough to get things done. Bridgewater has bounced around the league over the years, most recently suiting up for the Dolphins in the 2022-23 campaign. He played in five games due to injury and finished the year by throwing for 683 yards, four touchdowns, and four picks while completing 62% of his throws. Nevertheless, Bridgewater will likely continue his career as a backup, regardless of where he signs, which won't help his fantasy value. But he's worth keeping an eye on during the season in case he takes over under center for one reason or another and the matchup is favorable.
