2 years agoNew York Mets shortstop prospect Ronny Mauricio hit his seventh home run of the 2023 Triple-A season in a game for Triple-A Syracuse. He was 3-for-5 with three runs, a double, a home run, and an RBI in a 7-8 loss for Syracuse. The Dominican Republic native is off to a great start, slashing .349/.387/.612 with seven home runs, 38 runs, 24 RBI, and eight stolen bases through 38 games. With his recent move to second base, Mauricio will see an easier path to the Mets' major-league squad.
