Reds Sign Tayron Guerrero To Minor-League Deal
2 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds signed free-agent right-hander Tayron Guerrero to a minor-league deal on Saturday that includes an invitation to major-league spring training. Guerrero has three years of big-league experience, but not since 2019 with the Miami Marlins. The 31-year-old spent the 2022 season in Japan with the Chiba Lotte Marines, going 3-3 with a 3.52 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, three saves, 63 strikeouts and 20 walks in 46 innings over 49 relief appearances. In his three major-league seasons, Guerrero has a 5.77 ERA (5.08 FIP), 1.66 WHIP and 22.5 percent strikeout rate in 113 relief appearances covering 106 innings. He will represent relief depth for the Reds entering the 2023 campaign.
