4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is off to a quiet start to the 2021 season. Through nine games, he's slashing .207/.294/.379 with one home run, two doubles, four walks, five RBI and three runs. Fantasy managers should remain confident in Alonso as he's still making a ton of hard contact, despite the low slugging percentage. Alonso has an average fly ball/line drive exit velocity of 98.6 mph, which is up from 96.3 mph last year. He also has a 65% hard-hit rate, which ranks amongst the top 3% of the league.
