Packers Interested In Jaxon Smith-Njigba?
2 years agoAccording to Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline, the Packers are interested in Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. After trading Aaron Rodgers to the Jets, Green Bay moved up two spots to the No. 13 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, which the team believes will make it "easier to secure" the former Buckeye. He finished his sophomore year with 95 catches for 1,606 yards and nine touchdowns. However, the 21-year-old was limited to only three games last season because of a hamstring issue. Of course, there are questions about Jordan Love's ability as a starter. At the same time, he'll have to battle for targets with Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, so his outlook for the 2023-24 campaign isn't as promising if he ends up in Green Bay.
