Nomar Mazara Goes 4-For-11 in Opening Series
4 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Nomar Mazara has gotten off to a solid start to the 2021 season. Over the Tigers' three-game series with the Cleveland Indians this weekend, Mazara went 4-for-11 with a home run and three RBI. Mazara signed with the Tigers this offseason after he spent one year with the Chicago White Sox. He wasn't able to produce for the White Sox in 2020, slashing .228/.295/.294 with just one home run and six doubles over 42 games. Mazara has a starting role for the Tigers for now, but the team has a bit of outfield depth so he'll have competition for playing time with JaCoby Jones, Victor Reyes and Akil Baddoo. He's worth monitoring in AL-only leagues and deep leagues, but don't rush to add him as of yet.
