4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals. Josh Rojas is getting the start at shortstop and batting eighth in the game. Ahmed began the season on the injured list as he was dealing with patellar tendinitis in his right knee. He's played in five games so far this year and has slashed .105/.190/.105 with two walks and no extra-base hits. Ahmed has solid plate discipline and some sneaky power, but isn't worth roster consideration outside of the deepest of leagues and NL-only leagues.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
