4 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have placed first baseman Miguel Cabrera (biceps) on the 10-day injured list with a left biceps strain. The team added first baseman Renato Nunez to their 40-man roster in a corresponding move. Cabrera had gone cold after his Opening Day home run. He's slashing just .125/.222/.292 on the young season. Jonathan Schoop is shifting over to cover first base in Sunday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Harold Castro and Jeimer Candelario could also see time at first base while Cabrera is out.
