Michael McDowell On The Pole At Daytona; Avoid Him In DFS
3 months agoMichael McDowell won the pole for this weekend's Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, his fourth straight front row start of the season at superspeedway race tracks. And while that kind of qualifying speed is good for a team like Front Row Motorsports to hang their hat on, DFS players should steer clear of McDowell on Saturday night. Due to the unpredictable nature of races at Daytona, taking the pole sitter is almost always a bad decision. Looking at McDowell's DFS performances at similar tracks this season, he scored negative 28 FPTS in the Daytona 500 and negative 9 FPTS at Talladega. Don't be surprised if he delivers another negative performance on Saturday night, too. It's not recommended to have more than one or two DraftKings lineups with McDowell in them this weekend.
