4 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer held the Houston Astros to three hits, one walk and two runs over five innings on Wednesday. It was his first start of the season and he earned the win as the Tigers defeated the Astros 6-4. Fulmer opened up the year in the bullpen, but he was moved to the rotation after Julio Teheran (shoulder) was placed on the injured list. Fulmer looked good in his relief outings, striking out 10 batters over seven innings before this start. It was a bit disappointing to see him only manage two strikeouts in this five inning outing. He's worth keeping an eye on in deep leagues and AL-only leagues, but there's no need to rush and add him. Fulmer's next start will be on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
