Matthew Allan Fully Healthy During Camp
1 day agoNew York Mets right-handed pitcher Matthew Allan (elbow) is fully healthy during camp. Allan has already thrown two successful bullpen sessions and is set to throw his third later on Thursday. The 23-year-old is expected to begin the 2025 campaign in the minor leagues. The former third-round selection in the 2019 MLB Draft has undergone several operations, including Tommy John surgery and a UCL revision operation. Before these injuries, Allan logged 8 1/3 innings in the Rookie League before tossing two frames at the Single-A level. Across these 10 1/3 frames, the Seminole high-school product posted a 2.61 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. He tallied 14 punchouts and served up four free passes. Fantasy managers should expect Allan to be slowly built up during camp as he looks to enjoy his first full professional campaign. He will likely begin the season at the lower levels of the minor leagues.
