Justin Fields Sitting Out On Wednesday With Groin Injury
3 years agoChicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields (groin) is sitting out Wednesday's practice due to a groin injury. Bears head coach Matt Nagy told the media that the team is being cautious with him. Nagy still expects for Fields to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. Fields put together a strong preseason debut, completing 14-of-20 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 33 yards and a score. Andy Dalton is slated to begin the year as the team's starting quarterback, but Fields could take over early on if he continues to progress and if Dalton struggles.
