Josh Berry Sees Top-5 Unravel Late at Richmond
8 months agoDespite starting way back in 30th for the Toyota Owners 400, Josh Berry had a great race car at Richmond Raceway. In fact, it was one of the fastest in the field. Unfortunately, Berry's 11th-place finish isn't representative of that--although it is his best result in the first seven races this season. Berry was legitimately running inside the top five for a good portion of Sunday night's race at Richmond, getting up to second at one point, but a slow pit stop late combined with Berry missing pit road on another green flag pit stop doomed the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing team. It had to have been encouraging to have that type of speed, though, especially for the SHR organization, which has been one of the slower Ford organizations in the NextGen era.
