Jose Siri Leaves After Hit By Pitch Monday
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri (hand) left Monday night's game against the Minnesota Twins after being hit by a pitch on his hand. Siri looked to be in serious pain and stayed in to run the bases before eventually leaving the contest. He did give a thumbs up before leaving the dugout, but Siri will probably undergo X-rays to rule out any breaks in his hand. Vidal Brujan entered the game in the outfield for Tampa after Siri left. Before leaving, the 28-year-old went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored to raise his season average to .222 and OPS to .761. Siri entered Monday's contest hitting .220/.264/.494 with 25 home runs, 55 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 57 runs scored in 336 at-bats. Check back for updates on Siri's condition and whether he'll be forced to miss any additional time.
