Jose Quintana Hit Hard On Saturday, Chased In Second Inning
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jose Quintana is off to a rough start to the 2021 season. In his second start on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays, he pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed five hits, four walks and seven runs (five earned) while striking out four. He made his first start this past Monday against the Houston Astros and was tagged for four earned runs in 3 1/3 innings. He now has a 16.20 ERA and 3.40 WHIP over two starts. Fantasy managers are free to drop Quintana for an intriguing waiver wire add. He might turn things around at some point, but he's too hard to trust right now. His next start will likely be on Friday or Saturday against the Minnesota Twins.
