Jordyn Brooks Remains In Seattle's Plans
2 years agoAccording to Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, linebacker Jordyn Brooks (knee) has a "long, long future" with the team. "We love the way he plays and what he brings and all of that," stated Carroll during a radio interview. "The decision we made now, this is not an indication of our future. We expect Jordyn to be with us for a long time." The 25-year-old compiled 402 total tackles (247 solo), 12 passes defensed, and two sacks in 47 regular season games for the Seahawks. However, the club didn't exercise his fifth-year option, so he'll be entering the final year of his rookie deal. Brooks expects to be ready for Week 1 after undergoing ACL surgery. But he'll need to stay healthy if he hopes to land a long-term agreement with Seattle.
