2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is aiming to be in the "best shape of his life" in 2023-24, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. "He wants to come back in the best shape of his life and so when you talk about players losing weight and all that, that is a goal that he has set," Shelburne said on NBA Today. "His mentality is, he's going to give everything that he has to the Sixers this year." Embiid dominated throughout last season and was voted the regular-season MVP, but the campaign ended on a sour note for him, as the Sixers star was injured in the playoffs and struggled to perform.
