Joel Embiid Might Return For Game 2
2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) didn't suit up for Monday's postseason clash with the Celtics. However, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, there's "optimism" he'll return for Game 2 on Wednesday. The 29-year-old sprained his right LCL during the playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets and has been on the shelf since. Fortunately, Embiid appears to be trending in the right direction, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting he underwent platelet-rich plasma treatment recently. There will be several updates about Embiid's condition heading toward Game 2. But if he's out again, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris could continue to benefit significantly on the offensive end. At the same time, Paul Reed, who started in Game 1, will likely remain with the first five.
