Jean Segura Dealing With Quad Strain
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura (quad) left Tuesday's game against the San Francisco Giants due to a strained right quad. He is set to undergo an MRI on Wednesday. The injury came when he was attempting to run out a ground ball in the second inning of the game. Brad Miller entered the game to replace him. Segura could be headed for a trip to the injured list. If that ends up being the case, Miller should see an increase in playing time. The team could also consider recalling utility man Scott Kingery to fill in at second base.
