Jalen Hurts Had Offseason Procedure
2 years agoAccording to Zach Berman of The Athletic, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a "minor procedure" to remove hardware from his ankle stemming from a high-ankle sprain suffered in 2018 while at Alabama. Bergman added that the injury "wasn't structural," with the signal-caller almost immediately returning to his offseason workout regimen. Hurts, who signed a five-year, $255 million contract on Monday, is coming off an MVP-caliber season, finishing with 3,701 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and six picks. He also ran for 760 yards while finding the end zone 13 times using his legs. With Week 1 still months away, Hurts has time to prepare his body for a grueling 17-game schedule that may include another postseason appearance. Without question, the 24-year-old will be a highly-coveted fantasy option in 2023-24. But his health is a concern, especially since he also battled a shoulder injury last season.
