Jakob Junis Shifting To The Bullpen
4 years agoThe Kansas City Royals are moving pitcher Jakob Junis back to the bullpen. The team's No. 2 prospect Daniel Lynch is being called up to make his MLB debut on Monday and he is taking Junis's spot in the rotation. It's a disappointing development to any fantasy manager who is currently rostering Junis, who has turned in solid outings in three of his four starts this year. Most recently on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, he pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed just two earned runs while striking out nine. He has a 3.47 ERA and 1.16 ERA through 23.1 innings on the year. In deep leagues, he's worth stashing if you have the space. There's a good chance he'll be back in the rotation sometime soon.
