Jakob Junis Hit Hard By Rays On Wednesday
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jakob Junis had a rough outing in his third start of the year against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday. Junis pitched five innings and allowed six hits, three walks and five earned runs while striking out three. Junis had been on a great run prior to this start. Going into Wednesday's game, he had pitched 12 innings and allowed just eight hits, three walks and two earned runs. His season-long numbers are still solid as he has a 3.71 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. He'll look to bounce back from this start in his next outing on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
