Jackson Kowar Likely To Begin 2021 At Triple-A
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jackson Kowar was reassigned to the Royals' minor league camp last week. He is expected to begin the 2021 season at Triple-A Omaha. Kowar struggled with the Royals this spring. He made six appearances and pitched 11.2 innings, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2.23 WHIP while striking out 10. The 24-year-old Kowar is one of the Royals' top prospects. In 2019, he made 13 starts at Double-A and posted a 3.51 ERA and 1.265 WHIP while averaging 9.4 K/9. If he has a strong showing at Triple-A this year, he could very well make his MLB debut this season.
