4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez had a phenomenal opening series against the Baltimore Orioles this past weekend. Martinez went 6-for-12 with a home run, three doubles and three RBI. He had an average exit velocity of 95.2 mph over the weekend and a wOBA of .637. Martinez had a very disappointing year in 2020, slashing .213/.291/.389 with seven home runs and 27 RBI over 54 games. Hopefully, this strong start will help him get back to his old ways. He's only a year and a half removed from a dominant 2019 campaign that saw him slash .304/.383/.557 with 36 home runs and 105 RBI in 146 games.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
