4 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Greg Holland pitched a clean ninth against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday to earn his second save of the year. This was a promising development for Holland, as Royals manager Mike Matheny has been elusive with his ninth inning management through the early going this year. Five different Royals have saves on the year, but Holland is now the first Royal with two saves. It might be a frustrating and messy situation going forward, but Holland should be considered the most likely save recipient in Kansas City for now.
