Giancarlo Stanton Hitting .175 With Just One Home Run
4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is in the midst of a slump to start off the 2021 season. Through 10 games, he's slashing .175/.233/.275 with one home run, one double, nine RBI and three runs. He's gone six straight games without an extra-base hit. Despite the struggles, Stanton is still hitting the ball as hard as ever. His 58.6% hard-hit rate is higher than usual for him and ranks amongst the top 10% of the league. His average fly ball/line drive exit velocity so far this year is 100.8 mph, up from 97.4 mph last year. Fantasy managers should stay patient with Stanton. The home run bombs should be coming soon.
