4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is in the midst of a slump to start off the 2021 season. Through 10 games, he's slashing .175/.233/.275 with one home run, one double, nine RBI and three runs. He's gone six straight games without an extra-base hit. Despite the struggles, Stanton is still hitting the ball as hard as ever. His 58.6% hard-hit rate is higher than usual for him and ranks amongst the top 10% of the league. His average fly ball/line drive exit velocity so far this year is 100.8 mph, up from 97.4 mph last year. Fantasy managers should stay patient with Stanton.
