4 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria has been scratched from the lineup for the team's home opener against the Colorado Rockies on Friday. Longoria is reportedly dealing with side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine. Wilmer Flores will make his first start at third base this year to replace Longoria. Longoria is off to a hot start to the year. He hit three home runs in his first four games and is slashing .318/.400/.773 on the young season. Hopefully he won't miss too much time, but there is a good chance the team will have to place him on the COVID-19 injured list.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
