Eddie Rosario Homers, Tallies Three Hits In Opening Series
4 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Eddie Rosario had a strong opening series against the Detroit Tigers this past weekend. He went 3-for-8 with a home run, three walks, four RBI and two runs. He only struck out once over his 11 plate appearances. Rosario signed with the Indians this offseason. He spent the first six years of his MLB career with the Minnesota Twins. Last year, he slashed .257/.316/.476 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 57 games. He served as the Indians' cleanup hitter in each of the team's three games this weekend and should remain in a prime hitting spot throughout the year as long as he remains healthy and productive.
