Eagles Not A Lock To Draft Bijan Robinson If Available
2 years agoAccording to NBC Sports Philly writer Dave Zangaro, the Eagles may not select Texas running back Bijan Robinson in the NFL Draft if given the opportunity. Zangaro believes "it's not a very high percentage" Philadelphia will take Robinson, although he acknowledges there is a small chance it could happen. The organization hasn't selected a running back in the first round since 1986. Considering Philadelphia hasn't valued that position, the team may lean on Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott, and Rashaad Penny this season. There's also the potential for Trey Sermon, who saw limited action last season, to receive a routine spot in the backfield. Nevertheless, the Eagles may ultimately choose Robinson, especially if he's the best player available. Zangaro also didn't rule out the possibility of Philadelphia dealing the No. 10 overall pick while mentioning the team's history of selecting running backs in the later rounds of previous drafts.
