Drew Smyly Will Return To Braves Rotation On Saturday
4 years agoLast Friday, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Drew Smyly (forearm) was scratched from his start and placed on the 10-day injured list due to left forearm inflammation. He is set to make his return on Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, missing just one start with the injury. Smyly has made two starts this year and has struggled to limit run-scoring. He has a 5.73 ERA. However, his WHIP is just 0.91. We'll see if he can start to turn things around on Saturday. He's worthy of a roster spot in all deep leagues and NL-only leagues, mostly due to his secure rotation spot and the significant run support he's likely to receive thanks to the dynamic Braves offense.
