Carlos Santana Reaches Base Four Times In Royals Debut
4 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Carlos Santana had a fantastic debut with the team on Opening Day against the Texas Rangers. Santana went 1-for-3 with three walks, two runs and one RBI. He hit third in the order in the game and was instrumental in the team scoring a whopping 14 runs on the day. Santana is especially valuable in on-base percentage leagues. He has fantastic plate discipline. He has a career strikeout percentage of 16.5% and a career walk percentage of 15.5%. His career batting average is .249 and his career on-base percentage is .367. He should be a key cog in what looks to be a much-improved Royals offense in 2021.
