Camilo Doval Suffers Fourth Straight Blown Save
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval has heavily struggled on the mound lately. The right-hander suffered his fourth straight blown save during Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. To be fair, the first two blown saves were on errors and the runs were inherited runners. However, the last two blown saves have been completely Doval's fault on the mound. On Wednesday, Doval walked two batters before allowing a game typing three-run home run to Bryce Harper. Doval is certainly having a tough time on the mound right now, but it's unlikely that the Giants remove him from the closer role. Doval has 33 saves and a 3.03 ERA, so he has done a good job throughout most of the season. Possibly, the Giants give him a short break to figure things out, but he should remain the long term closer in San Francisco.
