Brewers Give Craig Counsell Contract Extension
5 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers are signing manager Craig Counsell to a contract extension that will run through the 2023 season, according to sources. It's a well-deserved extension, as Counsell led the Brew Crew to a National League Championship appearance in 2018 before a wild-card showing this past season. The 49-year-old coach started as the head man for Milwaukee in 2015 and has gone 405-381 in his five years as head coach. The Brewers have gone 6-5 in the postseason under his watch. Having an MVP like Christian Yelich on your roster makes things easier, but it'll be a challenge to contend in the NL Central in 2020.
