Brent Rooker 2024 Player Outlook: Solid Value Following Breakout Campaign
11 months agoOakland A's outfielder Brent Rooker enjoyed his coming out party in the 2023 season, providing massive value to fantasy managers who scooped him up off the waiver wire. In his age-28 season, Rooker hit .246 and slugged 30 home runs alongside an .817 OPS across 526 trips to the plate. He walked at a solid 9.2% clip, although he also punched out at a bloated 32.7% rate. Nonetheless, it wasn't the first time Rooker had down notable power as he clubbed nine homers in just 58 games for the 2021 Twins before seeing just 16 big-league games in the 2022 season. Home-run power is difficult to sustain at the Coliseum in Oakland as ATC projects a regression to 24 home runs in 2024. However, fantasy managers should be willing to take that figure along with another 21 doubles and four steals at his prevailing 293.28 ADP.
